Message from Scott
On behalf of the Rotary Club of Elk Grove, it is with deepest gratitude that we Thank our many volunteers and sponsors for their support and hard work during RotaryFest.
These few days were extremely challenging, and we would not have been able to open the carnival on Saturday or the full festival on Sunday if not for the Herculean efforts of our supporters. Watching so many of you work in flood water, mud, hot & humid weather while fighting insects to help us salvage this year's RotaryFest fills me with pride to be associated with you.
On an average year RotaryFest would not be possible without the help of people like you. This year, in these extreme circumstances, you played an absolutely critical role. We were able to completely open on Sunday with minor changes, and the Community responded by joining with us and enjoying RotaryFest.
I would be remiss if I did not recognize the role our service providers and food vendors played in reopening the event. Our electrical contractor PowerUp worked with us every step of the way. Our audio contractor Diversified Audio Group set up completely new equipment at no additional charge. We could not have accomplished what we did without their generosity and extra work.
Elk Grove Park District provided vital assistance and showed their continued support throughout RotaryFest.
Alexian Brothers Medical Center showed that their support of RotaryFest extends beyond financial contributions as a title sponsor. By lending us equipment, we were able to re-open the Carnival on Saturday and the festival as a whole on Sunday, proving again that the Alexian Health System isn't just committed to exception health care it is committed to the community!
The contributions of the Village of Elk Grove, and the Police Department specifically, are immeasurable. The efforts of Mayor, Trustees, Police Officers, Health Inspectors and all of the Village staff that volunteered or provided assistance in some fashion make RotaryFest possible on a good year. The efforts by the Village to assist in mitigating damage, protecting the people and helping to re-open RotaryFest demonstrates why Elk Grove Village is the Exceptional Community!
To the citizens of Elk Grove Village who joined us at anytime during RotaryFest, but especially on Sunday, the Rotary Club of Elk Grove Thanks You and appreciates your support!
